Cathedral Church of Agia Sophia

The temple was built at the end of the 7th century and is dedicated to the Wisdom of God. This church is among the oldest churches of Thessaloniki.

The temple is distinguished by its mosaics, which have been executed in three different periods. It stands out for its imposing architecture and is dominated by beautiful frescoes and elaborate mosaics.

It is located next to the Agia Sophia square, where you can walk around either for shopping or for a coffee/drink/food. It is full of shops for all tastes, which will satisfy even the most demanding. Aristotelous Square is 5 minutes away.
