Alexander the Great Monument
In the area of Nea Paralia, next to the White Tower, you will see the monument of the Alexander the Great, that was created by the famous sculptor Evangelos Moustakas.
The monument was inaugurated in 1974 and is 6 metres high. It represents the Alexander the Great riding Bucephala, his war horse. This monument is one of the city's most photographed sights.
Your visit to the city is worth combining with a walk on the Nea Paralia, where you can admire it and take pictures, as it is easily accessible.
